Meeting with the EVN Board of Directors Chairman, Mr. Suen Hong Shui expressed his pleasure to visit and work at the Headquarters of EVN and also expressed his thanks for the fruitful and effective collaboration between the units of the two corporations in recent years.
POWERCHINA is listed among the top 500 largest enterprises in the world. In Vietnam, the POWERCHINA has over 10 years of experience, and has participated in about 50 construction projects in Vietnam, including the cooperative projects with the units belonging to EVN such as Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant, and Duyen Hai 2 Thermal Power Plant.
Mr. Suen Hong Shui highly appreciated potentials of Vietnam power market, and expressed a desire to participate in power projects, especially those energy projects to protect the environment, the garbage-burning power generation project etc.

At the meeting, the EVN Chairman appreciated the experience of POWERCHINA and expressed his pleasure at the results of cooperation between the member units of the two corporations.
EVN Chairman shared that the installed capacity of the power system in Vietnam currently reached more than 38,000 MW. With regard to the scale of the system, Vietnam is ranked No. 2 in ASEAN countries. With the annual growth rate of 10-11%, the power market in Vietnam is a large market, large potential. On that basis, the Chairman hoped that in the future, the two corporations would have a good cooperation, jointly promote new sources of energy, renewable energy, associated with sustainable economic development in Vietnam.
