This is a special grade B power project with a total investment cost of over VND 265 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). PTC4 on behalf of EVNNPT takes care of implementation of the Project.
The project is composed of: replacement AT2 500 kV transformer with 450 MVA capacity by the one with 900 MVA capacity; replacement, construction and installation of new components and equipment in synchronization with the new transformer. Upon completion, Tan Binh 500 kV Substation will have a total capacity of 1,350 MVA.
The completion of capacity increase of Tan Dinh 500 kV Substation contributes to improving the reliability of power supply in Binh Duong province and its neighboring provinces in the Southeast region in the hot summer of 2018.
At the same time, the project upon completion will enhance the transmission capacity of the North - South 500 kV system, serving the socio - economic development, ensuring the national security and defense.
