The competition “Initiatives for the community” is a fundamental activity under the framework of the Program of initiatives for the community, which has been biennially organized. EVN has taken part as a co-organizer in the second Program in 2017.
Mr. Vu Van Ha – Deputy General Editor of the Communist Interview, a member of the Organization Board said: The prize “Initiatives for the community” will be awarded to organizations, individuals who generate brilliant initiatives, creative ideas, smart projects to help handle social problems. Through the competition, voices and contributions of the people, particularly the young generation, can be promoted and realized in activities for the community.
This year, targeted contestants of the competition are opened to all central and local organizations, entities, individuals; domestic and foreign organizations; people living, working and studying in Vietnam or abroad; at all ages.
“Creative ideas and initiatives for the community can be introduced in many areas such as education, medicine, traffic – transportation, science – technology, tourism, environmental pollution, urban civilization, new rural development, etc. The Organization Board encourages and highly appreciates initiatives which support development in difficult areas, border regions, islands, etc.”, emphasized Mr. Vu Van Ha – Deputy General Editor of the Communist Interview.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan – Permanent Deputy Secretary of EVN’s Party Committee stated: During the past years, besides realization of business, production, construction and investment assignments in order to supply electricity and secure operation of the national power system, EVN has paid special attention to social security activities. Therefore, EVN co-organizes the competition with a view to finding excellent initiatives and creative ideas to contribute to the community and to the powerful national development.
According to the Organization Board, practical and feasible initiatives will be gathered and stored in the “Initiatives for the community” bank, so that country leaders can refer to during the process of establishing socio – economic development policies for the country.
It is envisaged that the Prize Awarding Ceremony for the second competition “Initiatives for the community” will be held on May 18, 2018 and lively broadcasted on the Vietnamese Television.
