Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant use conventional condensing technology with Subcritical pressure boilers, which has been a widely applied worldwide. The modern powerhouse technology meet strict demands for environmental protection after Vietnamese and international criteria.
Power will be dispatched to the national grid through a 220kV double circuit transmission line from Thai Binh power center to 220kV Thai Binh Substation. After its operation the project will increase power supply capacity for socio-economic development of Hong River delta. The project will also help to reduce grid dependency to hydropower source, especially in dry seasons and dry years, and increase safety, stability, and economics of grid operation.
