EVN Chairman - Mr. Duong Quang Thanh worked with Mr. Satoshi Onoda-Director JINED
Mr. Satoshi Onoda said, Japan has over 50-year experience in the development of atomic energy. JINED shall act as a connecting hub between Japan and Vietnam in the field of nuclear power development.
According to the cooperation agreement to build the Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant between Vietnam and Japan, EVN and JINED has made lots of collaborative efforts to implement the project. Accordingly, JINED has built the training plan and supported EVN in human resource development for key personnel to implement the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project. Besides, JINED has also conducted some practical trainings on quality management and operation etc., for the staff of EVN.
At the meeting, EVN Chairman Duong Quang Thanh thanked JINED for having supported EVN in the training of human resources, as well as helped EVN learn about Japanese nuclear power. The Chairman suggested JINED urge the consultants to soon complete relevant work items, to ensure the progress of the Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plant project.
Mr. Satoshi Onoda confirmed his willingness to cooperate with EVN in successfully implementing the project, ensuring the safe operation of the plant, and then, building safety culture in the nuclear power sector in Vietnam; at the same time expressed his thanks to EVN leadership and EVN subsidiaries for active cooperation in the past years and looked forward to working together with EVN for continuing development of the nuclear power in Vietnam.
