Besides propagandizing and mobilizing the local people, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) also requested Hanoi People’s Committee to cooperate with this ministry to organize an official event to respond to the Earth Hour 2016 which will take place from 20:30 PM to 21:30 PM on date 19 March 2016.

Vietnam officially participated in the Earth Hour Campaign from 2009 with many activities in 6 provinces and cities. In year 2012, MOIT is a unit to coordinate Earth Hour’s activities in Vietnam with series of activities combined with activities of National Target Program on using energy economically and efficiently.
