EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh works with GE Vernova Representatives

On the afternoon of May 21, 2026, in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), welcomed and held a working session with representatives of GE Vernova (USA), including Ms. Kathryn Wilner, Commercial Director of GE Vernova Gas Power.

Also attending the meeting were Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Ha, Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and representatives from EVN's specialized departments.

At the meeting, Ms. Kathryn Wilner, Commercial Director of GE Vernova Gas Power, thanked EVN for choosing GE Vernova's technology for the Quang Trach II LNG Power Plant Project. At the same time, she stated that the company understands the importance of, as well as the challenges involved in, implementing LNG power projects in Vietnam, including the Quang Trach III LNG Project.

The Commercial Director of GE Vernova Gas Power also provided additional information on the rapidly increasing global demand for gas turbines and energy equipment, particularly in the U.S. market, which is placing significant pressure on supply chains and equipment manufacturing schedules.

On behalf of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh highly appreciated the support and cooperation provided by GE Vernova to EVN and its contractors in the Quang Trach II LNG Project, and affirmed that EVN is making every effort to implement the project in accordance with the schedule committed under the contract.

During the meeting, the EVN Vice President also discussed some remaining difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process and expressed his desire to continue receiving cooperation and support from GE Vernova to resolve these issues in the future.

Within the framework of the meeting, Ms. Kathryn Wilner directly answered questions from EVN's specialized departments.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain a regular information exchange mechanism, strengthen close coordination throughout the project implementation process, and proactively share updates on market developments.
