Eight members of the live-line working crew of Dak Nong Power Company have undergone a 4 month training course at the Central Electric Power College (Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province). All the members are skilled and proficient in construction, maintenance and repair of energized power grids.
On July 3, 2018, the crew performed their first live-line maintenance work by replacing vertical insulators at the 89/26 post of 476E54 22 kV power line in Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia town, Dak Nong province. The company is the last one under EVNCPC to perform this live-line working technology.
The application of live-line working technology is one of the key solutions of EVNCPC to reach the goal of SAIDI of 400 minutes by the year 2020, improving the quality of electricity services.
Since April 2016, the live-line working technology has practically contributed to reducing power interruption duration caused by grid works in the Central provinces and Central Highlands.
At present, some power companies of EVNCPC have embarked on training of their second live-line working crews to magnify the efficiency of the new technology.
