Capacity Upgrading for the 220 kV Hoa Khanh and Ngu Hanh Son Substations

On November 30, 2016, at the 220 kV Ngu Hanh Son substation, the Power Transmission Company (PTC2) launched the Capacity Upgrading Project to replace the 110 kV, 25 MVA transformers with  110 kV 63 MVA transformers and other distribution equipment  in synchronization with the transformers at the 220 kV Hoa Khanh and Ngu Hanh Son substations

At present, the growth rate of sale energy of  Da Nang City is always higher than economic growth rate. In 2010, The load demand of Da Nang was 237 MW  in 2010,  was 500 MW in 2015, and expected to be 892 MW in 2020.

To enhance reliability and meet the power demand for social and economic development of the Da Nang City, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) have invested VND 44.105 billion and assigned PTC2 to manage the capacity upgrading project for the 220 kV Ngu Hanh Son substation.   

PTC2 assigned the Power Engineering and Construction Consulting Company No 5 to design, the EVN International Company to supervise and the Maintenance and Testing Team to construct the project. The Danang Power Transmission Division will accept and operate the project upon completion.
