The Sustainable Energy Transition Project is one of four additional supporting components of the EU-Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Program, funded and implemented by the European Union Delegation to Vietnam (EUD), in the period 2022-2027.

The project provides technical assistance and capacity development according to demand in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy information systems; at the same time supports the operation of the Vietnam Energy Partnership Group (VEPG) and the budget support component solutions of the EU - Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Program.

At the meeting, EVN also proposed a number of projects that can participate in the EU-Vietnam Sustainable Energy Transition Project such as: Renovating and upgrading thermal power plants to meet environmental standards in each period; improving the operation efficiency of existing power plants; renovating and improving the efficiency of fossil fuel burning/exhaust gas treatment systems; supplementing the plan and implementation of offshore wind power investment in the Northern region to enhance the power supply for the Northern region and combine to ensure national security and reduce greenhouse gas emissions; supplementing the plan and implementation of investment in solar power on the reservoir of hydropower plants of EVN and its affiliated units; investing in storage resources and pumped hydropower power plants…
