Mr. Duong Hong Kien said that in the electricity market of Việt Nam, CSGI has invested in Vinh Tan 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant Project.
The plant has a capacity of 1,240MW, with the construction commenced in July 2015. Currently, Generator unit 1 has commercially operated, and Generator unit 2 is also scheduled to generate commercial power in 2018.
CSGI’s President thanked EVN for its support during the project’s implementation as well as for the operation of the power plant. At the same time, he expressed his desire to continue receiving support and cooperation from EVN in power projects in the coming time.
Chairman of EVN’s MC - Mr. Duong Quang Thanh congratulated CSGI on early putting Vinh Tan 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant into operation, contributing to supply power for the power system.
At the same time, he confirmed that EVN supported CSGI to invest in power projects in Việt Nam on the spirit of cooperation for sustainable development, ensuring to meet the demand for energy in Việt Nam.
Also at the meeting, the two parties discussed on technical options to exchange power at voltage level of 500kV in order to stably supply power for people in the Northern border region of Việt Nam.
