Vietnamese delegation at the Workshop
Attending the workshop were delegates of eight countries out of 10 HAPUA member countries. The Vietnamese delegation consisted of seven members at three workshops: Communication, Project 1 (best practice guidelines for asset management) and Project 3 (management of distribution grid reliability).
This is the first time the communication workshop of HAPUA members has been held since 1981, when the HABU was established. It was an opportunity for those working in the field of communication in the HAPUA member countries to gather, cooperate, connect and share experiences among themselves.
In just one day, lots of discussion on communication topics was exchanged among delegates: Media response to the power projects; Brand management and means of social media. One of the most discussed and concerned topics were handling communication failures in case of natural disasters affecting power systems. The delegates discussed in depth the issue of constant change in the era of globalization and how to use the communication channels in the most effective way, in order to transmit accurate, efficient and updated information to customers.
Although communication workshop was first held in the HAPUA framework, it got successful and made a good impression on all the delegates.
