Representative of the delegation, Mr. Cho Hwan-Eik expressed his desire to cooperate on and exchange techniques and technologies in the field of renewable energy, especially offshore wind power projects with EVN. At the same time, members of the delegation also exchanged and discussed the potential of cooperation in carbon emission reduction projects between Vietnam and Korea.
Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh – Vice President of EVN wished the two sides to have the opportunity to continue to exchange, share and support in the field of offshore wind power development.
According to EVN's leader, renewable energy sources in Vietnam have gained strong development since 2019. In the draft Power Master Plan VIII that was submitted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam is submitting to the Government for approval, there is also a plan to develop offshore wind power projects. In fact, at present, these projects in Vietnam are still in the research stage. This is an area in that EVN is actively researched and learned from international experiences.
