Deputy United States Department of Energy visits and works at Vietnam Electricity 

On 30 August 2022, in Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Vice President of Vietnam Electricity welcomed and worked with Mr. David Turk - Deputy United States Department of Energy (DOE), and the delegation.

This is the working session after the 4th Vietnam- the United States Energy Security Dialogue took place in July 2022.

Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Vice President of Vietnam Electricity, expressed EVN's desire to promote cooperation with the United States in areas such as transfer of advanced technologies, development of energy storage battery projects, train human resources in the field of renewable energy, to promote the energy transition to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

Mr. David Turk - Deputy United States Department of Energy, also expressed his desire to promote a good cooperation relationship to make energy transitions together in Vietnam. In particular, Vietnam has great potential for offshore wind power development, and the United States wishes to cooperate with Vietnam Electricity in this field. At the same time, the United States is willing to share about the technological research that the United States has achieved, the problem of connecting and transmitting offshore wind power effectively, etc

In addition, the Deputy United States Department of Energy wants EVN to participate in the NET ZERO WORLD initiative. 

EVN and the delegation led by the Deputy United States Department of Energy have agreed to continue to exchange to strengthen the relationship and promote cooperation opportunities in the coming time.
