EVN President and CEO to work with leaders of Japan Bank for International Cooperation

On 21 March, at the Headquarters of the Vietnam Electricity (EVN), President and CEO Dang Hoang An has welcomed and worked with Mr. Horiguchi Munetaka-Managing Director for Asia Pacific of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

Receiving Mr. Munetaka Horiguchi, EVN President and CEO Dang Hoang exchanged some information about the use of hydropower, thermal power, renewable energy sources etc., in Vietnam.

EVN President and CEO Dang Hoang An and the Managing Director for Asia Pacific JBIC have exchanged on the conditions related to the technology of coal fired thermal power plants, as well as the associated conditions for JBIC to support in funding EVN power generation projects.

Mr. Munetaka Horiguchi said, currently, the Japanese Government has significantly focused on the development of renewable energy resources, contributing to dealing with climate change. Therefore, in the coming time, JBIC is willing to support EVN in the investment and development of renewable energy and clean energy projects in Vietnam.

Mr. Horiguchi Munetaka expressed the goodwill of JBIC in supporting the development of EVN, and expected the relationship and cooperation between the two parties to be more strengthened.
