EVN President and CEO welcomed and worked with the delegation of Electricity of Cambodia

On September 9, in Quang Ninh, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan – President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh – EVN Vice President welcomed and worked with the delegation of Electricity of Cambodia (EDC) led by Mr. Praing Chulasa - Deputy Managing Director.

At the meeting, the two parties discussed the power industry development situation of each country's and energy cooperation plans in the future.

EVN and EDC discussed about future energy cooperation plans.

Mr. Praing Chulasa – Deputy Managing Director of EDC thanked EVN for helping Cambodia overcome the power shortage over the years. At the same time, EDC looks forward to exchanging and learning experiences from EVN in issues such as technical management, power generation and power grid development, etc.

EVN President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan emphasized that EVN is willing to cooperate with and support Cambodia. The EVN leader also stated that this meeting would further strengthen the close friendship and relationship over the years between the two countries' power industries.

Currently, EVN is selling electricity at voltages of 35kV and 22kV to Cambodia through 17 border gates (including 18 electricity selling points). Medium voltage electricity volume sold by EVN to EDC in 2021 reached 245.58 million kWh. The cumulative electricity volume being traded from January 2022 to August 2022 was 235.56 million kWh.
