At the meeting, according to the signed cooperation agreement, the two parties have been deploying effectively, making good use of each party's experience, resources and potential; as well as promoting the development of electricity cooperation in the region, forming an interconnected power grid linking power systems of the countries in the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program, ASEAN, and promoting multilateral electricity trading.
In 2023, Mr. Meng Zhenping wishes that EVN and CSG will strengthen the strategic coordination and strive to create a grid interconnection model; strengthen information exchanges on corporate governance, digital transformation, green development, new energy development and high pressure, and at the same time enhance consultation, striving to become a role model to promote cooperation development in the Lancang - Mekong region.

In the coming time, EVN and CSG will keep on executing the Power Purchase Agreement through 220kV lines in the period of 2022-2025 and will negotiate prices and output for the period 2024-2025. It is expected that a delegation of EVN's organization and personnel group will have an in-depth expertise exchange program at CSG and other power companies.
Within the framework of this meeting, Mr. Tang Yifeng - Deputy General Director of China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. and Mr. Ngo Son Hai – Vice President of EVN had a discussion session on electricity trading; exchanging experience in power system operation, investment in and operation of power plants in Vietnam.
