The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed with the purpose of establishing a cooperation program and improving the relationship between EVN and RMIT in the field of human resource research, training and development.
The term of the MOA is the period of 2023-2025 with the following objectives: Improving research capacity and solutions for the future growth and development of EVN; Enhancing the capacity of EVN's workforce through training activities, seminars (domestic and international), including postgraduate training; Providing internship, work-study and career development opportunities for RMIT students.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Professor Peter Coloe - Vice President of RMIT & President of RMIT Vietnam said that, after more than two decades of presence in Vietnam, RMIT is proud to be a prestigious international educational institution for the development of high-quality human resources in the field of digital transformation and sustainable development. The cooperation between EVN and RMIT today is developed from the vision and mission of the two sides with the target of contributing to and leading the digital transformation process at EVN in particular and in Vietnam in general.
According to EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam, after signing the MOA, RMIT will have plans to support EVN to accelerate the digital transformation process more quickly and effectively. With the signing of this MOA, the two sides have established and enhanced cooperation programs in research, training and human resource development.
Specifically, RMIT committed to seeking funding sources for cooperation activities such as scholarship funds, scientific research funds, etc., for EVN. It is expected that by the end of 2022 or early 2023, RMIT will coordinate with EVN to organize a workshop on blockchain for managers. Post-graduate training programs for EVN's employees, programs to arrange for RMIT students to take internships at EVN will also be implemented during this period.
