EVN establishing Steering Committee on Applying technology of Industrial revolution 4.0 with target of becoming a digital enterprise
Chairman of EVN’s Member Council - Mr. Duong Quang Thanh confirmed that applying the achievements of Industrial revolution 4.0 was urgent issue and required departments, units to drastically conduct improving the efficiency of production and business activities of the whole Group.
Currently, EVN has developed component projects, as well as assigned specific tasks to its units for implementation. Particularly, EVN will study on the use of big data, AI technology in forecasting the load of the national, regional power systems and power corporations; apply blockchain technology in electricity trading with customers and rooftop solar power for corporations; smart power plant control system; develop smart power grid; develop customer care information system of auto responder; etc.
Mr. Duong Quang Thanh also requested the units to promptly study and organize to expedite wide application of technologies in all activities of the Group in 2020.
Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Tran Viet Anh - Head of Strategy Department from EVN’s Member Council said that the Project of “Study, development and application of technologies from Industrial revolution 4.0 into production and business of EVN” has been approved by the Group on 6 November 2018.
In particular, the target for EVN is to become a digital enterprise based on the application of digital, information technologies and technology of the Industrial revolution 4.0 in all its activities of production, transmission, distribution, business and customer services, striving to become one of the leading enterprises in the region.
