In 2017, the Corporation supported inthe construction of 8 schools, educational centers in Thai Binh, Son La and Kon Tum provinces; supportedthe provision of new medical equipment for medical examination and treatment for the people living in some remote areas.
The Corporation also took care 124 Heroic Vietnamese mothers nationwide, gave 40 charity houses to policy families. In addition, the programs of Union homes, supporting officials and staffs in difficult circumstances, supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, flooding, etc., also implemented.
In 2017, EVN shall continue to support 3 poor districts of Phong Tho, Tan Uyen, Than Uyen (Lai Chau province) to implement economic development models, present Tet gifts to the poor children, policy families under the 30a Program with a total sum of VND69.6 billion, exceeding VND16.4 billion compared with commitments.
Particularly in December 2017 – Customers Gratitude Month of EVN, units under the Corporation haverepaired and installed power system free of charge to more than 16,000 poor households and policy families nationwide; more than 300 roads in hamlets, villages are equipped with public lighting systems.
It is known that the Corporation has cooperated with Vietnam Television to prepare for the implementation of the charitable eye surgery namely"Vietnamese Belief", lighting up the dreams and beliefs of the disadvantaged children in the whole country.
