Mr. Min Moonki said that currently, in Vietnam, there are many large Korean enterprises operating such as Samsung Display, LG Display, etc., which are supplied with electricity by EVN for production and business purposes. With LG Display (in Hai Phong), the Embassy and enterprises expect EVN to continue to strengthen solutions to ensure reliable electricity.

EVN’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Tai Anh affirmed that LG Display is one of the loads supplied priority electricity. Currently, the power supply for LG Display is safe and stable. In addition, EVNNPC has implemented the construction of an additional 220kV transmission line to increase the backup power supply for LG Display. However, with some problems in site clearance, EVN also asked the Embassy and related enterprises to join in solving, to speed up the project's progress.

At the meeting, leaders of EVN and representatives of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) exchanged and informed the Korean Embassy about the good cooperation results that the two groups have achieved in the past time. It is expected that in late August 2022, EVN and KEPCO will continue to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector.
