Deputy General Director of EVNCPC Ho Thang Thu (third from left) awarding VND500 million to aid people in Quang Nam province.
General Director of EVNCPC Ngo Tan Cu said that since the beginning of August 2020, central provinces have suffered many storms, tropical depressions and extreme weather events causing heavy rain, sweeping floods, flash floods, landslides in many areas, sectioned roads. Especially damages in provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam were even worse, power supply in many areas until now had not been recovered. Leaders and employees, especially those who worked in management, operation, dispatch, technology sections... had overcome countless difficulties. Houses of many of them were damaged, their families were suffering difficulties but they still arranged to take part in dealing with breakdowns of thepower networks, power plants, houses, warehouses ... severely damaged by natural disasters.
To share with the people and employees of EVNCPC in these localities, the General Director and Standing Committee of the EVNCPC's Trade Union agreed to invite each employee who was working at member units (except those who worked for member units in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam provinces) to donate at least one basic day rate. This is a practical and timely action, expressing the spirit of "mutual love", "undamaged leaves protect torn leaves" to aid people in Central Vietnam in overcoming consequences of natural disasters, contributing to early stabilization of life.
