In addition to the proper completion of electricity activities in Southern provinces, EVNSPC has also organized many social activities, donated gratitude houses to disadvantaged, policy families, given kind regards and presented gifts for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, etc., donated books and notebooks to school pupils of communes and districts, etc.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Van, Deputy Chairman of Veterans Association of Can Tho City expressed his respectful appreciation to the hearts from Southern Power Corporation for their concern and assistance to disadvantaged veteran families.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hop - Chairman and General Director of EVNSPC said that, in addition to efforts to complete the task of supplying power to serve life and production activities for people, enterprises, EVNSPC have always organized community-oriented activities. Particularly, the Corporation donates gratitude, affection houses to people and annually supports to build up more than 200 houses for people in 21 Southern provinces and cities.
Houses show the love of 22,000 workers from EVNSPC sent to the people. With a shelter to avoid sunshine and rain, it is expected that their worries in mind about accommodation will be taken away, they will feel secure in production activities and their life will be improved.
In 2018, in addition to building gratitude, affection houses, EVNSPC also took care of 49 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, organized to visit and donate gifts to 262 policy, war invalid and martyr families; mobilized to contribute over VND 5 billion to participate in such social activities as donating gifts to poor households, scholarships, bicycles and school notebooks for students from disadvantaged schools in 21 Southern provinces and cities.
For the plan in 2019, EVNSPC will continue to coordinate and organize social support activities such as building gratitude houses, taking care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, supporting poor studious pupils, etc., in addition to its activities of production and business.
