At the meeting, Mr. Denny Abdi - Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam said that the Indonesian Government has set a target of becoming carbon neutral by 2060. Currently, Indonesia is in the process of renewable energy development and is expected to add about 5GW of RE in the coming years. Therefore, Indonesia wishes to learn from Vietnam's experiences. Specifically, PLN would like to have EVN’s sharing on experiences in attracting investment in renewable energies; experience in safely operating the power system with a high penetration of renewable energies, operation planning and real-time operation.

Mr. Darmawan Prasodjo - President Director of PLN highly appreciated Vietnam's successes in accommodating and operating well the power system with a high proportion of renewable energies, accounting for about 27%. The leader of PLN expected to open up opportunities to exchange experiences between technical teams and personnel of the two parties so that PLN can be best prepared for the development of renewable energy in the coming time.
