Giving the grid connected solar photovoltaic system for Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School (in Ho Chi Minh City)

The project of 2.925kWp peak capacity with the total investment cost of VND 72 million has been handed over to the School and put into use since December 12, 2018. This activity took place in the month of Customer Gratitude of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC).

This project was jointly implemented by Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) and other companies including Viet Long Company, Dass Tech Company and Panasonic Viet Nam Company.

Together with Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School, these companies have installed rooftop solar photovoltaic systems at five other schools, with a total capacity of 22.1kWp and a total investment cost of over VND 520 million of which VND 300 million is funded by EVNHCMC.

The program aims to extensively communicate the use of renewable energy to local people and students; at the same time, it helps assist and inspire poor students to strive for better study and to become decent citizens for the country.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung, Head of the Public Relation Department of EVNHCMC, said that the month of Customer Gratitude 2018 was an opportunity for EVNHCMC to demonstrate their gratitude to electricity consumers all over the city with many practical activities including the installation of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems for some schools free of charge.

Mr. Kim Byong Seok – General Director of Dass Tech Company shared "Dass Tech is very pleased to cooperate with EVNHCMC and other sponsors to install a solar power system for Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School, which brings a new trust and new light to the children here."

Ms. Ha Thanh Van – Headmaster of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Special School, expressed her profound thanks to the sponsors and said that the project would help the school save money which would be invested in procuring more educational equipment and instruments to serve the study as well as the life of visually impaired students, especially boarding students.
