EVN’s delegation led by the Chairman of Member Board Duong Quang Thanh worked with the top management of the World Bank on cooperation activities in the coming time.
At the meeting, the two sides expressed interest and exchanged cooperation possibilities in the near future, focusing on areas such as the study and development of pumped-storage hydropower, LNG, offshore wind power plants and financial arrangements for investment projects; developing an energy transition strategy for EVN towards the realization of the Government's commitments at COP26; further supporting in rehabilitating and upgrading the power grid system.
EVN will continue to work closely with the World Bank in Vietnam to take further steps to implement projects in the cooperation program.
The cooperation program will be concretized by the study and consideration of projects such as offshore wind power, fuel conversion using LNG for Quang Trach II Thermal Power Plant, renewable energy integrated grid projects, etc.
