The power capacity and consumption continuously peaking from 2nd to 5th of July 2018 caused many difficulties in operating the power system, particularly for that of the Northern region. Many main lines and transformers had to be continuously operated at full load, potentially leading to incidents that can cause interrupted power supply.
However, thanks to proactive and ready plans set by EVN for ensuring power supply for the dry season and its affiliated units, particularly in hot and sunny months, the power system has been safely operated.
EVN has directed its units to appropriately arrange the repair of power source and transmission grid, ensuring sufficient available capacity to meet the demand for power loads, which is projected to be higher than the current demand; strictly monitor the weather changes in order to take initiative in the options for operating the power system; strengthen the operation and on-going force for prompt handling of abnormal situations occurring in hot days; not arrange any activities of distribution power grid during peak summer days that affect the power supply to customers.
With the spirit of better and better serving customers, EVN would like to express thanks to the customers who have made contributions to the community and the Power sector especially those who have actively implemented measures of economically and effectively using power, bringing practical effect to themselves and the whole society. At the same time, the Group also expects to continue gaining the support and sharing of power users.
EVN commits to continue its efforts to provide customers with better and better electricity services.
