These are Gio Thanh 1 and Gio Thanh 2 Solar Power Plant projects which will be built on an area of about 140 ha , located in Gio Thanh and Gio Hai communes (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province).
In particular, Gio Thanh 1 Solar Power Plant (capacity of 50MWp) is invested by Gio Thanh Energy Joint Stock Company while Gio Thanh 2 Solar Power Plant (capacity of 50MWp) is invested by SECO Joint Stock Company.
In addition to the design, construction and installation of the above plants, PECC2 will build a new 22/110kV substation, 22kV, 110kV power lines and other auxiliary works; at the same time, PECC2 will carry out their management & operation after construction completed.
The operation of the plants will supply about 140 million kWh a year to the national grid and meet the annual consumption of about 80,000 households.
It is expected that the two plants will be completed and put into operation by 31 October 2020.
