Rotor of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant Expansion Project successfully installed

On August 8th 2018, Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company (DHD) under Power Generation Corporation 1 co-ordinated with the contractors successfully installed the rotor at Da Nhim Hydropower Plant Expansion Project.

Successful installation of Rotor at 14h45’ of August 8^th 2018

According to the leaders of DHD, the rotor which has just been successfully installed is 7m in height, 3.53m in diameter, with the weight of 165 ton. This is an important milestone for Da Nhim Hydropower Plant to reach the power supply target at the end of 2018.

The Project is invested by the Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company, and its construction was supervised by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 and Nippon Koie (Japan).

With the new installation of a 80MW power unit, and after the Project has been completed, its total capacity will be increased from 160MW to 240MW.

The project is invested with a total amount of about VND 1,952 million, funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) of the Japanese Government (85%) and the contractor’s counterfund (15%). Theere is no requirement for relocation and resettlement in this Project.
