In the last few months of 2016, Soc Trang Power Company has initiated the “Enlighting Trust” program, aiming to fix and renew power lines and light bulbs for poor households, policy households and the “Extending trust, Giving love” Program, aiming to give light bulbs to poor and policy households.
Accordingly, other power units under Soc Trang Power Company chose additional 77 households, matching the distribution criteria of Southern Power Corporation with at least 20 households/power branch with the cost of more than VND77.6 million and gave 154 LED lights to poor female-headed families.
Previously, in the 1st part of the program, district and city power branches have renewed and repaired the service drop (after-meter part) for poor households, policy families living in economic difficulties, given 285 LEDs to 143 poor female-headed households in the “Customer Appreciation Month” with the cost of more than VND144 million.
The efforts of Soc Trang Power Company has brought light to households, mainly poor ones in the rural area and the Khmer people’s area, contributing to changing the appearance of the new countryside.
