In recent years, the local GRDP (gross regional domestic product) growth rate has been 8 - 9%, much higher than the GDP growth rate of the whole country. As a result, the electricity demand in Da Nang is always at a high level. In 2018, the electricity consumption is projected to increase by more than 14% against 2017.
According to Mr. Vo Hoa - Deputy Director of Da Nang Power Company, customers in the commercial, hotel – restaurant sector are identified as the focus group and a proper service approach for this group has been worked out accordingly. In addition, to prepare for each major political, tourism and cultural event held in the city, the Company actively coordinated with the City People's Committee and relevant authorities to grasp concrete agenda of the event, and thereby prepared feasible and detailed plans to ensure electricity supply.
