Further to cooperation activities in such conventional areas as transmission line and substation constructions, the Word Bank has assisted EVN to promote communication activities, gender and gender equality activities, etc.

The Project on Assisting implementation of gender equality action plan of EVN is expected to comprise two phases. Phase 1: Project launching (January – February 2017); Phase 2: Guidebook delivery, pilot implementation and seminar organization (March – May 2017)
In this Project, WB and its consultant Ergon Associates shall assist implementation of EVN’s Gender Equality Action Plan during 2016 - 2020 via establishing human resource management mechanisms, defining concrete human resource solutions in order to enhance recruitment of female employee in EVN, especially for leader, manager positions.
In parallel, WB shall organize seminars to introduce experiences of international energy enterprises on gender equality opportunity promotion.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc highly appreciated the vigorous cooperation between the World Bank and EVN. He expressed an expectation that via this Project, the gender equality activities in EVN during 2016 - 2020 shall gain exceptional progresses, create favorable conditions for female employees to realize their full abilities, to affirm their roles and positions in works.
