In 2022, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant faced many difficulties in production and business activities. One of the direct impact factors is the high price of input fuels for power production. By the end of 31st December 2022, the company's total power output was only 3.1 billion kWh, 5 billion kWh lower than the planned target.
However, Phuoc Thai 1 Solar Power Plant (managed by Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant) gained good availability. Specifically, the cumulative estimated power output in 2022 is 72.6 million kWh, reaching 100.8% of the year plan.

Entering 2023, thermal power plants will face many difficulties and challenges. According to the plan, the power output of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant in 2023 is 5.88 billion kWh. The power output produced by Phuoc Thai 1 Solar Power Plant is expected to be 72 million kWh; Phuoc Thai 2 & 3 is expected to be 247 million kWh.
Achieving the above-expected figures is also a big challenge because Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant uses imported coal to produce power; while the price of the coal fuel market in the world still remains high. However, Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant will strive to overcome difficulties and challenges in order to complete the assigned tasks well, and at the same time ensure stable operation for and develop the plant sustainably.
