The project consists of 2 units with a total capacity of 480MW. This is an important project in the National Power Development Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 (PDP8). According to the report of the Power Project Management Board No.1 and the constructors, the concrete construction work of water tunnel No. 1 has reached 71.6% and water tunnel No. 2 has reached 78.6%.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Dang Hoang An requested the Contractor Consortium to mobilize maximum resources of equipment, personnel, finance, etc. to focus on implementing the remaining tasks of the Contract, especially the dismantling of the cofferdam and construction of the canal area into the water intake.
