At exactly 8:06 a.m. on July 6, after receiving the order from the Power Project Management Board No. 1 (EVNPMB1), the joint venture contractor began using a crane to move the rotor. In the photo: The Contractor’s engineers and workers work to balance the rotor before the crane lifts the structure.

The rotor of Unit 1 weighs 585 tons and is the rotating part of the generator. The installation of the rotor is a particularly important event in the process of implementing the construction of the hydropower project.

With strict technical requirements, the deployment of the rotor installation of Unit 1 of the Hoa Binh expanded Hydropower Plant takes place continuously for more than 3 hours.

EVN leaders direct and supervise the entire implementation process. In addition, a large number of employees of Power Project Management Board No. 1, contractors, and supervision consultants attend to witness the memorable moments of the project.

The process of placing the rotor into the stator is calculated and organized scientifically, methodically, and strictly following technical procedures; demonstrating the smooth coordination and high responsibility of the forces on the construction site.

Under the close direction of EVN leaders, EVNPMB1 and construction units completed the installation work at 11:20 am on July 6; ensuring the right schedule and safety. This has affirmed the professional level and internal strength of Vietnamese officers and engineers in installing hydropower equipment.
