Environmental protection activities aimed at sustainable development have been actively promoted by EVN youth.
In the photo: EVN Youth Union releases approximately 2 tons of fish fingerlings into Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir (Phu Tho Province) to restore aquatic resources and balance ecosystem.
EVN Youth Union, in coordination with Thai Binh Thermal Power Company, plants 1,000 trees on plant’s premises, contributing to greening of facility (Hung Yen Province).
Youth Union branches under Northern Power Corporation organize “Green Sunday,” carrying out simultaneous clean-up activities at their office premises.
Numerous social welfare activities have also been implemented.
In the photo: Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) carries out “Lighting Rural Roads” project in Tan Long Hamlet, Viet Xuyen Commune, Ha Tinh Province. This lighting system stretches 2km and includes poles and approximately 80 solar-powered lamps.
Youth Union of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) presents children’s playground and “Green Youth Road” project to People’s Committee of Thanh Oai Commune, Hanoi.
Educational activities to foster patriotism and gratitude toward fallen heroes and revolutionary contributors have been actively promoted. EVN Youth Union, together with Youth Union of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and other organizations, participate in series of events marking 95th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. Activities included: merit-reporting ceremony and tribute at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; incense offering at House No. 67 (Presidential Palace); and artistic, preservation, and cultural promotion activities.
At Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Site (Khanh Hoa Province), Youth Union of Power Transmission Company No. 3 respectfully offers flowers and incense in memory of 64 officers and soldiers of Vietnam People’s Navy who heroically sacrificed their lives in 1988 Gac Ma Incident.
Visit to National Museum of History (Hanoi) provided opportunity for young members of EVN Telecommunications and Information Technology Company (EVNICT) to learn about nation’s history of building and defending country.
Sports activities are also integral part of Youth Month. “Spring Blossom” Pickleball Tournament, organized by EVN Youth Union, attracted nearly 60 athletes who are EVN staff, Trade Union members, and their relatives to compete.
