Of which, there are 2 key works that the EVNSPC Party Committee registered to affix the name board in celebration of the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) for the 2025 - 2030 term: Cai Rang 110kV Substation and connection line Work; Thanh Binh 110kV Substation and connection line Work.
The Cai Rang 110kV Substation and Connection Line Work in Can Tho City involves the construction of a 110kV substation with a designed capacity of 2x63MVA. This phase installs a 1x63MVA transformer, SCADA and HMI systems to collect monitoring data and remote control as required by the Southern Power System Load Dispatch Center; a surveillance camera system; and the 25-meter-long connection line. The total investment is nearly VND 110 billion.
The Cai Rang 110kV Substation and connection line, when put into operation, will meet the load demand of Zone 1, which is the key industrial development area of Can Tho City, supplying electricity mainly to Cai Rang district and neighboring areas, reducing power loss, and improving the reliability of power supply.

Cai Rang 110kV Substation, Can Tho City completes energization
For Thanh Binh 110kV Substation and connection line, Dong Thap province, the work has been completed after nearly 5 months of construction. The work started on 28 October 2024, with the scale of construction of a 110kV Substation with a capacity of 2x40MVA. This phase invested in a 1x40MVA transformer, and installed SCADA and HMI systems to collect monitoring data and remote control as required by the Southern Power System Load Dispatch Center, and a surveillance camera system. The connecting line is 1.57km long.
The project has a total investment of about VND 115 billion, after completion and operation, it will supply stable power to Thanh Binh district; at the same time, it will share the load for 110kV Substations in Tran Quoc Toan Industrial Park, An Long; improving voltage quality, reducing power loss and increasing power supply reliability.
In Long An, EVNSPC, the contractor and related units have also successfully energized the T2 Transformer Installation Project (1x63MVA), Thu Thua 110kV Substation.
With a total investment of nearly VND 39 billion, after being upgraded, the Thu Thua 110kV Substation will ensure continuous and stable operation of the grid; improving power supply reliability; meeting the load demand for Thu Thua town and 11 communes in the district; at the same time, having the ability to reserve connections with other 110kV substations in the area.

In Vinh Long, EVNSPC, in coordination with relevant units, energized and put into operation the project to increase the capacity of Vinh Long 110kV substation from 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA.
With a total investment of more than VND 47 billion, when put into operation, the work will contribute to reducing the load on the 110kV substations of Vinh Long, Binh Minh, and Phuoc Hoa; improving the reliability of power supply, ensuring the N-1 criteria; at the same time, meeting the demand for load growth in the Hoa Phu industrial park area (phase 1, 2 and 3), Binh Minh industrial park; Industrial clusters: Song Phu, Phu An (Tam Binh district), Vinh Long city, Tan Quoi (Binh Tan district), Thuan An (Binh Minh town), etc.
The completion of the project on schedule is a testament to the efforts and determination of units such as the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board, the Southern Power Project Management Board, the Power Companies of Can Tho City, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Long An, the construction contractors; the coordination of the Southern Power Consulting Company, the SCADA Operation Center, the Southern Power Electric Testing Company; especially the effective support from local authorities in site clearance; the assistance of the Southern Power System Load Dispatch Center in the arrangement of the energization schedule.
These are the next 4 110kV works to be energized, part of the 90-day and night emulation movement "Completing energization of 50 110kV grid works" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 50 years of building and developing EVNSPC (30 April 1975 – 30 April 2025).
As of April 26, EVNSPC had successfully energized 42 out of 50 projects. The remaining eight projects are being urgently completed in their final stages to be ready in time for the April 30 holiday.
