The Bac Ninh 500kV Substation Project and Connection Line is a special-class, group B energy work invested by EVNNPT, managed by NPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 1 after completion. The project is built in Chi Lang commune, Bac Ninh province.

The main scale of the project includes the construction of a new Bac Ninh 500kV substation with a capacity of 1,800MVA, comprising 2 transformers, each with a capacity of 900MVA. The 500kV side installs 4 feeders, the 220kV side installs equipment for 13 bays. The control, protection, measurement, communication, and SCADA systems are equipped in accordance with EVN and EVNNPT regulations and comply with current standards and requirements.

The connection line section will build 02 new 500kV lines, 01 circuit, about 0.31 km long (branch 1) and 0.49 km (branch 2), connecting to the existing Bac Ninh 2 - Pho Noi 500kV/220kV line. Construction of two new 220kV lines, two circuits, approximately 0.38 km long (branch 1) and 0.23 km (branch 2), connecting to the existing Bac Ninh 2 - Pho Noi 500kV/220kV line.

After completion, the project will meet the power supply needs of urban areas and industrial parks in Bac Ninh province, as well as other local loads, thereby promoting economic development and enhancing social security in the region.
