Officials and engineers of Da Nhim -Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company and contractors feeling happy in moment of successfully connecting to national grid of H5 Generator unit
The Da Nhim Hydropower Plant Expansion Project is designed with the scale of installing a new generator unit with capacity of 80MW (45MW in phase 1), and new construction items including: Intake gate, pressure tunnel of 4.7km long, surge tank, valve house, pressure pipe of over 2km long, etc.
The total investment of the project is over VND 1,952 billion, invested by Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company (under the Power Generation Corporation 1). In which, the loan accounts for 85% (from the Official Development Assistance Fund of the Japanese Government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency - JICA) and 15% comes from the reciprocal capital of the investor.
According to the design, H5 Generator unit will additionally supply about 99 million kWh/year to the national power system and increase the total capacity of Da Nhim Hydropower Plant to 240MW at the same time.
This is the power source contributing to ensuring power supply for the South, reducing the tension on the 500kV transmission line from the North and the Central to the South; increasing safety, stability and economic efficiency for the national power system.
