Updated information on the submission of application for accepting commercial operation(COD) for wind power plants as of 3 August 2021
According to the updated data, as of the end of 3 August 2021, a total of 106 wind power plants have submitted application documents to register for being energized, synchronized to the power grid, testing and accepting for commercial operation (COD) with a specific list as the attached Appendix. The total capacity being registered for COD testing of these 106 wind power plants is 5655.5MW.
Pursuant to Circular No. 02/2019/TT-BTC dated 15 January 2019 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Regulations on wind power project development and Power Purchase Agreement template for wind power projects: in 90 days before the date of commercial operation, the Power Seller is responsible for sending the Power Purchaser a draft of the process of acceptance test of the Power Plant in accordance with current regulations and technological standards of wind power plants so that both parties can agree on a commercial operation date and estimate the trial run power output of the Power Plant. Thus, in order to meet the deadline for submitting the application for the acceptance test and preparing for Commercial Operation Date (COD) acceptance before 31 October 2021, wind power project owners must send the prescribed dossiers to the Power Purchaser (EVN) no later than 3 August 2021.

As of the beginning of August 2021, 21 wind power plants with a total capacity of 819MW have come into commercial operation. EVN will continue to update and inform about the progress of acceptance for commercial operation of wind power projects before 31 October 2021.
