Reporting to the Group’s leadership, Mr. Bui Phuong Nam, Director of Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMB1), stated that the concrete works for the intake gate reached 157% of the planned progress; the dismantling of the cofferdam at the intake gate achieved 122% of the plan; and the concrete works for tunnels No. 1 and No. 2 reached 115.8% and 121.4% of the planned targets, respectively.
Specifically, at the intake gate area, concrete works have been completed up to an elevation of 95.0 meters; the installation of the operational gate and the lowering of the operational gate for Phase 1 flood control and cofferdam dismantling have been completed. The dismantling of the cofferdam at the intake gate commenced on February 16, 2025. For the powerhouse and discharge channel section, site preparation for the generator pedestal and assembly bay was completed in March 2025, with the area largely handed over to the installation contractor as required.

Mr. Bui Phuong Nam, Director of EVNPMB1, reports to Mr. Dang Huy Cuong, Member of EVN Board of Directors, on construction progress of project.
Regarding site clearance, EVNPMB1 has coordinated with the port authority to sign for the temporary handover of a 5,200-square-meter land area, which has been handed over to the contractor for constructing the access road to facilitate the dismantling of the cofferdam at the intake gate.

Mr. Dang Huy Cuong, Member of EVN Board of Directors, and Mr. Pham Hong Phuong, EVN Vice President, co-chair meeting.
In the second quarter of 2025, the project is required to achieve several key construction milestones. For the intake gate section, all concrete structural works must be completed up to an elevation of 122.5 meters by April 5, 2025; the dismantling of the cofferdam at the intake gate must be completed; excavation of the foundation pit for Phase 3 must be carried out; and slope reinforcement of the channel below the 95-meter elevation must be completed by June 15, 2025.
In the powerhouse and discharge channel area, EVNPMB1 aims to dismantle 52,500 cubic meters of the downstream cofferdam and carry out 8,400 square meters of concrete slope reinforcement for the discharge channel. The installation of the rotor assembly for Unit 1 is scheduled for completion in June 2025, while the assembly and installation of the turbine for Unit 2 will commence on May 15, 2025.
