These are annual activities within the framework of the National Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for the period of 2019 - 2030 (VNEEP3 Program). The Energy Efficiency Award in Industry – Construction Projects and the Highest Energy Efficiency Product Award are expected to contribute to realizing the goal of 8-10% savings in total national consumption in the period 2019 - 2030, while actively taking part in implementing socio-economic development goals, realizing Vietnam's commitment to a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

At the same time, the awarding is anticipated to encourage and promote the business community to apply energy-saving solutions; acknowledge and honor typical models and solutions for economical and efficient use of energy in the field of industrial production and construction projects, thereby creating social effects, making positive contributions to the goals of socio-economic development, sustainable development in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country.

As a result, 17 projects in two categories of new construction and renovation projects have been granted the Energy Efficiency Award in Construction Projects by the Organizing Committee in 2022, of which the headquarters of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) has won the third prize in the renovation project category.
