Building 613 houses for poor households
Nam Po district is a mountainous district in Dien Bien province, established in 2012, having 8/15 communes bordering on Laos with 128 km of borderline, 132 villages, more than 54,100 people and 8 ethnic groups. More than 8 years after its establishment, Nam Po district is still facing many difficulties. The number of poor and near-poor households is high, about 63% of the total 6,560 households.
From that reality, the Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security carried out the construction and restoration of houses for poor households in Nam Po district. This policy is supported and financed by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) (about VND 30 billion), enabling poor households to alleviate their difficulties and settle down soon.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam Electricity and local authorities handed over the house to Giang A Chu's family in Nam Tha La village, Pa Tan commune.
