Power Sales of EVN in 2015 increase 11.44% compared with 2014

Power sales increased by 11.44% in 2015 compared with 2014, power supply reliability is improved, the index power access index strongly increased. These are typical results achieved by Vietnam Electricity in the field of power business in 2015.

In 2015, Vietnam Electricity fully satisfied power demand for production, business and living activities of the people. The direction in power production as well as operation of national power system go closely with power need, timely meeting urgent power demands for production and business.,

Accordingly, in 2015, electricity production and purchase reached 159.4 billion kWh, increasing by 11.23% from 2014 (an exceeding 2.5 billion kWh compared with the plan).

Power sales reached 143.34 billion kWh, 1.54 billion kWh higher than the plan and 11.44% increase compared with year 2014. Of which, the domestic power sales was an estimated 141.34 billion kWh, a growth of 11.6%.

EVN making efforts to enhance the quality of electric power services to satisfy customers

Some planned targets of EVN in 2016:

Power produced and purchased: 175.9 billion kWh, increasing by 10.35% compared with 2015

Power sales : 159.1 billion kWh, increasing by 11% compared to 2015;

Overall EVN power losses: 7.7%;

Reliability indicators of EVN: SAIDI: 1.655 minutes, SAIFI: 12.31 times, MAIFI: 2.58 times;

Power access time: 10 days (the procedures of  power company).

Labor productivity increase by 8-10 percent compared with 2015. EVN is profitable in terms of power production and business.

With efforts to improve power supply reliability, in 2015, for EVN as a whole, the system average interruption duration index (SAIDI) was 2,110 minutes, reducing 35% compared with 2014, the system average interruption frequency index was 12.85 times/customer, reducing 32%, momentary average interruption frequency index was 2.0 times, reducing by 23%.The reliability indexes of EVN’s subsidiaries were better than the planned ones.

In particular, the power access index of  Vietnam attained a breakthrough. According to review of the  Doing Business organization, in 2015 the power access index of Vietnam increased by 22 levels (from position 130 in 2014  to position 108 out of 188 nations) and was the index with the best improvement in the indicators of reviewing the business environment of Vietnam.

Of the 2011-2015 period, the average growth rate of power produced and purchased was 10.37% per year, whist that of power sales was 10.84% per year.

At the same time, the level of customer satisfaction with the services provided by EVN has been increasing through the years. EVN average score on the level of customer satisfaction has been steadily increased, which was 6.45/10 in 2013; 6.9/10 in 2014.

In 2016, EVN shall strive to achieve the target of power loss reduction, promptly respond to the new connections, develop new customers to increase sales and effectively exploit available resources of power infrastructure and closely manage the power tariff applicable to each category of customers, prevent power losses and electricity bill debts.
