On the afternoon of May 12, in Hanoi, the Electricity Authority (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in coordination with the Danish Energy Agency, organized the announcement of the Vietnam Electricity Technology Catalogue 2026. This event is part of the framework of the Vietnam-Denmark Energy Partnership Program for the 2020–2025 period (DEPP3).

This marks the third publication of the Catalogue, featuring updates and additions to two significant editions: the Vietnam Technology Catalogue for Power Generation and the Vietnam Technology Catalogue for Energy Storage, Renewable Fuels, and Power-to-X. Additionally, the set has been expanded with an entirely new edition—the Vietnam Technology Catalogue for Energy Transmission and Transport—completing the holistic picture of the energy system from production and storage to transportation.

The three catalogues form a unified documentation system that fully reflects the value chain of the modern energy industry. Each technology within the catalogues is presented using a standardized structure, including technical descriptions, key components, inputs and outputs, energy balance, advantages and disadvantages, spatial requirements, environmental impacts, and development prospects. This approach ensures consistency in comparing different technologies while supporting users in making evidence-based decisions.
