Starting in 2012 and continuing to this day, the social welfare program "Duyen Hai Community Care" implemented by Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company has truly become a bridge connecting businesses with the government and people of Vinh Long province, contributing to improving the socio-economic life in the area.
The predecessor of the "Duyen Hai Community Care" was the "Lighting Up Dreams" program, first organized in 2012. This activity is organized annually as part of the social welfare programs of EVNGENCO1 and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company. In its initial phase, the program primarily provided gifts and scholarships to policy beneficiary families, disadvantaged households, and students who demonstrated resilience and outstanding academic performance. Over time, along with the development of the business, the "Duyen Hai Community Care" program has continuously expanded in scale and scope, gradually forming a comprehensive social welfare program aimed at providing practical and sustainable support to the local community.
For over 13 years, the program has distributed more than 3,200 social welfare gifts, with total expenditures exceeding VND 6.3 billion. Support activities are organized regularly during holidays, Tet (Lunar New Year), and Vietnam Electricity’s Customer Gratitude Month, thereby demonstrating the power sector’s long-term commitment to the authorities and people of Vinh Long province.

In 2025, EVNGENCO1 to provide VND 1.2 billion to build 20 Solidarity Houses in Vinh Long province.
In recent years, in response to the "Solidarity House" program launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the "Duyen Hai Community Care" program has implemented many activities to support housing for families in difficult circumstances. Many sturdy houses have been built and handed over to the people. During the 2024–2025 period, the program financed the construction of 40 Solidarity Houses with a total budget of VND 2.4 billion, helping disadvantaged households stabilize their living conditions, build sustainable livelihoods, and gradually improve their quality of life.
Through the "Duyen Hai Community Care" program, EVNGENCO1 and Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company aim to continue contributing to social welfare in the area, providing additional support to disadvantaged policy beneficiary families and poor students to overcome difficulties and succeed in life; contributing to caring for the spiritual well-being and strengthening the bond between the enterprise and the local community.
