Comprehensive development

Starting from the pioneering steps of a working group seconded from the North to survey the Tri An Hydropower Plant in 1981, the Southern Power Consulting team has gradually asserted itself with steady and firm progress, constantly developing, and creating a mark through many generations.

After the first milestone at the Tri An Hydropower Project, PECC2 has affirmed its capacity in the field of hydropower, taking on the role of consulting, surveying, and designing for a series of large projects on strategic rivers (Dong Nai, Se San, Serepok...). Moreover, the Company has significantly expanded into the thermal power sector, providing a range of services from consulting to project management consulting (PMC), typically for projects at the Phu My, Vinh Tan, Duyen Hai, Mong Duong, and O Mon power centers.

At the same time, PECC2 has continuously improved its capacity in the field of power grid consulting, successfully implementing many large projects nationwide, from 500kV lines, 500kV substations, GIS stations to offshore lines and underground cables.

PECC2's breakthrough is to take on the role of EPC contractor for Vinh Tan 4 and Vinh Tan 4 expansion thermal power plants, along with strategic renewable energy and transmission projects. In particular, the Company also provides operation and maintenance management services for more than 5,000MW of capacity, with diverse types of power sources (from thermal power, biomass power to wind power, solar power, hydropower) in Vietnam and Laos.

Ceremony to celebrate 40th anniversary of PECC2

With renovative thinking and strategic vision, PECC2 has made a strong transformation through the formation of three strategic circles: Consulting - Business - Investment. This breakthrough has helped PECC2 go beyond the framework of a traditional consulting company, towards a comprehensive, proactive, and sustainable development model.

After 40 years of establishment and development, PECC2 has become a leading consulting unit with more than 200 power source projects equivalent to over 62,000MW, more than 160 substations with a total capacity of 30,000MVA, more than 460 power transmission line projects equivalent to 6,600 km and managing and operating more than 5,000MW of power source capacity.

Being ready for the era of growth

In the spirit of companionship and sustainable development, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan expressed his hope that PECC2 would continue to promote its strengths, increase investment in clean energy projects, apply new technologies, develop high-quality human resources, and participate more deeply in the energy market. With a solid foundation and aspirations to reach out, PECC2 is expected to continue to accompany EVN to create a green, smart, and developed energy future for the country.
