Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant achieves 30 billion kWh power generation milestone

By 7:00 p.m. on 28 June 2026, Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant had achieved a cumulative electricity output of 30 billion kWh, reaffirming its strong operational and management capabilities and its significant contribution to the national power system.

Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant, located in Dong Thai Ninh Commune, Hung Yen Province, is operated and managed by Thai Binh Thermal Power Company (under EVN). The plant consists of two generating units with a total installed capacity of 600 MW (2 x 300 MW).
The cumulative output of 30 billion kWh is a significant milestone, recognizing the efforts of the staff, engineers, and workers of Thai Binh Thermal Power Company in managing, operating, and maintaining equipment, while contributing to ensuring power supply for socio-economic development and people's lives.
In the coming period, Thai Binh Thermal Power Company will continue to improve the operational reliability of its generating units, optimize generation efficiency, and ensure a safe and stable power supply for the national power system.
The plant commenced construction in February 2014 and began commercial operation in April 2018.
