Quang Tri Hydropower Company regularly updates market developments, hydrological conditions, technical status of generating units, and system's operating methods to develop appropriate exploitation plans.

The 2026 dry season underwent several extreme heatwaves, and rainfall in the reservoir area decreased compared to the multi-year average. The average water inflow into the reservoir during the first six months of the year was only about 3.5 m³/s, nearly 20% lower than the multi-year average. The company regularly updates market changes, hydrological conditions, the technical status of the generating units, and system operation methods so as to develop appropriate exploitation plans. The power generation schedule is calculated in conjunction with the task of supplying power during the dry season, downstream water supply requirements, and the goal of improving water resource efficiency.

In the first half of August, the hydrological situation improved, with rainfall in the reservoir area exceeding the multi-year average for the same period, leading to increased water inflow into the reservoir. The company proactively exploited these conditions to mobilize power generation, ensuring the power production plan was met, while also fulfilling the water supply task as agreed with the local authorities. This development contributed to the company's early completion of its 2026 power production plan.

At the time of reaching the 275 million kWh mark, the reservoir water level was 475.88m, compared to the normal water level of 480m. For the remaining months, the company will continue to operate the reservoir according to established procedures, ensuring the safety of the structure and downstream areas; maintaining the readiness of the generating units to meet mobilization requirements and improve production and business results in 2026. Simultaneously, the company will proactively develop plans for water storage and reservoir regulation, preparing the necessary conditions for power production and downstream water supply in 2027.
