Vessel MV. VIET THUAN 56-03, carrying 55,900 tons of coal, safely docked at Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant on October 7th.

After safely docking on October 7th, coal unloading was carried out urgently, and by 8:50 AM on October 11th, all the coal on board had been transferred to the factory's storage facility in a closed-loop process.

Speaking at the coal handover ceremony on October 8th, Mr. Bui Van Tuan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Coalimex – affirmed that, as the leading coal import and export unit of Vinacomin, Coalimex is fully proactive in securing high-quality imported goods and a maritime logistics chain, ensuring the timely arrival of ships at Vinh Tan port as committed. The entire process, from collection and unloading at the export port to sampling and independent inspection at Vinh Tan port, is strictly and transparently controlled according to contract technical specifications. At the same time, Coalimex maintains a 24/7 communication channel to promptly address any issues arising from maritime procedures, schedules, or weather conditions, ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply.

Regarding Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai – Director of the plant – stated that the unit has also prepared maximum resources and deployed technical personnel to operate 24/7 to optimize the operation of the coal loading crane system and the enclosed conveyor belt. This effort aims to maintain high loading and unloading productivity, safely and on schedule.

Both sides also agreed to activate a direct coordination mechanism when problems arise during the unloading and warehousing process, ensuring that coal storage always remains above safe levels and optimizes operating costs for both units; while also ensuring a continuous and stable fuel supply for the 3 generating units managed and operated by Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant to meet dispatch orders in the fourth quarter of 2026.
